The Lady Bobcats opened district play in dominant fashion last night, defeating Legacy Christian Academy 3-0 in a best-of-five match. The Bobcats wasted no time setting the tone, cruising to a 25-15 win in the first set behind a serving showcase from sophomore Shiloh Wilburn. Legacy Christian fought back in the second set, pushing the Bobcats to their limit. But senior leader Elisabeth Draheim steadied the team, guiding them to a hard-fought 25-20 victory and a commanding 2-0 lead. The final set proved to be the most dramatic. Junior Audriana Hudson delivered clutch plays down the stretch, while Senior Avery Chandler, battling through a shoulder injury, inspired her teammates with gritty determination. Their efforts sealed the sweep as the Lady Bobcats closed out the match in straight sets. With the win, the Lady Bobcats not only start district play on a high note but also showcase the depth, leadership, and resilience that could carry them deep into the season. Great win Ladies.
